Die besten Orte, um das Nachtleben in Kopenhagen zu genießen
While Copenhagen isn’t the craziest and biggest city full of bright lights and crazy parties–the Danes still know how to party (and drink!). Bonus info: Danes are notorious binge drinkers, and when in Rome, right? So, put on your party outfit, your friends and get ready for a night to remember. If you want to explore Copenhagen by night, this is where you should go.
Party in Kødbyen – the Meatpacking district of Copenhagen
Nightlife and Kødbyen go hand in hand. This is the epicenter of partying! Kødbyen is brimming with great restaurants where you can begin your night out, for example with sourdough pizzas at Mother. Once you’re fueled up on energy, let’s get the party started. Head to Bakken or Jolene Bar, which is where the magic happens. These bars/clubs are nothing fancy, but if you like cheap drinks, hipsters, club vibes and electronic music, you’re at the right place.
Try crazy cocktails at Balderdash
The owner of Balderdash, who originates from NYC, is like the Noma chef of cocktails. This bar specializes in creative, different cocktails and adds something unique to the Copenhagen nightlife. The bar is located in a building that’s more than a hundred years old in the historical part of Copenhagen. The cocktail menu is interesting and different, spiced with infusions such as one that tastes like pizza. Go here for a cocktail you’ll remember!
Hit up an old school bar
In Danish, they are called bodegas and Copenhagen is full of them. A bodega is a murky, old school bar that has one or five loyal customers that come here every day, preferably an old jukebox, lots of beer and low lighting. A Copenhagen bodega experience is a must. Some of the good places to go are Cafe Sommersted, Fingerbøllet, and Understellet.
Watch stand up comedy at ICC the theatre
Ready to laugh out loud? To stand up comedy you go. Improv Comedy Copenhagen hosts for comedy shows a week, and you’re guaranteed to laugh your *ss off. For the comedy show program, click here. If you’re really into comedy, you can even attend classes on the fundamentals of comedy at different levels. Who knows, maybe you could become the next comedian to perform at ICC?
Indulge in craft beer
As Danes love to drink, and especially when it comes to beer, the selection of quality beer bars in Copenhagen is more than decent. The, now world-famous, Mikkeller brand owns several craft beer bars around town, such as the bar in the hip Copenhagen neighborhood Vesterbro. Check out the full list of Mikkeller Copenhagen locations here. But it doesn’t end with Mikkeller. If you’re into good beer, you should also check out Fermentoren, Brus and Nørrebro Bryghus.
Beer, bar, bodega, club or comedy? The night is young and you’re good to go explore everything that the Copenhagen nightlife has to offer. Have fun and drink an extra beer for us
